By far the toughest/closest round for me, so do have mercy if I missed anything.
And just in case you think I might be doing something right, please reach out to your friends in order to recruit and let the grow.
Monte Morris: the contract is Room MLE in value but taken from cap space + 5% raises +TO in the 3rd year.
- Either and can agree on a snt sending back some undisclosed to me 2nd rounder,
- Or they can't agree and extends this as an offer sheet, which presumably matches after they are done spending their own cap space. (I'm hearing some chandlered rookies, but I don't deal with those.)
Either way, to post a reply below.
Btw delayed for both teams.
*Correction* the Zubac s&t salaries had been added prematurely to the sheet. The have more cap space than what I originally assumed, and can therefore afford Justin Holiday too.
Lamb 1y/6,792,137 & Baze Gaze 1y/3.3m both with cap space & then Justin Holiday 2y/9.7m (Room MLE +5% incl. TO) delayed until their cap space is spent entirely
Šarić - 5.89m per yr, 3 yrs, TO cap space
(UFA AFAIK since Boston is owner capped.)
(In other words, we might perhaps assume the QO was automatically retracted the moment Barnes got paid.)
brings back a pair:
Jake Layman 4,000,000 4,000,000 4,000,000 4,000,000 TO
Jakob Poeltl 5,000,000 5,000,000 5,000,000 5,000,000 TO
2 years at Room MLE with 5% raise and 2nd year Player Option to Jeff Teague (beats 2y/9m)
Bryn Forbes 2y/9m Room MLE, no option
UFA Dunn 2y/10m MLE (beats somebody's TO, can't even remember at this point)
Ross 2y Room MLE +5% PO (beats 1y Room MLE from , 5+5TO from - this stinginess could cost them the )
Danny Green 1y/4.767 Room MLE by the tightest of margins, narrowly beating 4.5m without any willingness to raise
split their MLE evenly between JaMychal 4,500,000 4,500,000 4,500,000 & JaVale 4,500,000 4,500,000
(Plus a round of applause for both Connor and Tanner, who really know their way around the CBA - which is quite rare for newcomers!)
1y/4.5m Gay (beats insisting on TO)
Trevor Ariza 2 years with 2nd being a team option, flat Room MLE
Olynyk 2y/$10m $5m flat, 2nd year TO with non-bird rights
Bruce Brown: EBR 3 years starting at any required amount, decreasing 8% annually and year 3 is a team option enough to beat 1y/3m from and 4yrs/$16M from .
IMVHO Brown sucks, plus just traded to be Brooklyn's 13th man IRL, thus the amount has to be substantial in order to beat the guaranteed 4y, something like 6,500,000 5,980,000 5,980,000 TO
If the people think this should be lower, I'll consider it. Please post below.
signs Jontay Porter using the Stashed Rookie Exception.
1,857,143 1,950,000 PG 2,095,238 NG
(Delayed until cap space used.)
Oh, and a ruling on NG deadline (usually July 15, this season I think even the NBA can't decide on those) = the moment the 60th FO draft (auto)pick is made.
Now expect some singular 3m signings, then the last massive round of MPE signings will be done just after the draft is over and NG's confirmed, based on how many roster spots are left after all your chandlers, stashes, trades etc.
